Multiform on CNC-lathe
Each geometry requires a separate cam plate (see Picture)
3 rollers follow the geometry of the cam plate. The milling tool follows the predefined geometry and mills the required profile.
Square work pieces have a corner radius of 10% the useable length, hexagonal 4%
Polygonal and free geometrical forms are possible with the appropriate cam plates. These cam plates are specially produced for the customer, the standard forms are available.
The machining cycle is the same as drilling, with a constant forward feed (FPM). However, there no relief cycle needed.
Usable for X- and Z-axis
Multiform do not need a relief groove at the end.
